Ralph J. Anderson, MD - Women's Health Education

This year’s activity will showcase the advances made in women’s health care in both Tarrant and Dallas counties.

The Ralph J. Anderson, MD Women’s Health Symposium was created to honor Dr. Anderson.  Dr. Anderson dedicated a large portion of his career to the education of health care professionals in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.  For more than 20 years Dr. Anderson developed, moderated and oversaw a yearly large educational symposium to ensure that practicing health care professionals continued their education to improve patient care and patient outcomes.

This education series consists of 5 separate modules that you can watch at your own pace.  Each module is worth .75 hours of credit.

Target Audience

Physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, nurses and social workers caring for women.

Learning Objectives

When you complete these modules, you will be able to:

  • Facilitate interprofessional communication and collaboration with the broader health care team and community partners to improve clinical decisions and patient outcomes;
  • Describe ways to improve clinical teaching and provide collaborative care in the adolescent and adult women’s health setting;
  • Review the diagnosis and management of obstetrical and gynecological conditionals, including maternal health disease, psychiatric conditions and contributors of maternal mortality; and
  • Identify aspects of women’s health care that are applicable to specific populations, including adolescent health
